An Interview with Mandala Massage

Updated: Jan 27, 2022

Port St. Lucie has an abundance of Massage Therapists, and this beautiful city offers plenty of work for them all. One thing we didn't have is a Massage Therapist who is Certified in Table-Top Thai Stretching, untill now. Jennifer is one of 17 in the country with this Certification. Thai-Stretching is a gentle approach towards a full body stretch. This stretching protocol, that has the ability to greatly improve one's range of motion over time.

Jennifer's Clinic is located on the NE corner of US1, and PSL BLVD, inside the Executive Suites building. If you haven't Visited Mandala Massage yet, let me be the first to tell you why you should! Jennifer has been a Massage Therapist since January 2019, and has worked in both a spa and clinical setting. Giving you "the best of both worlds" with her unique Massage techniques. "I specialize in helping patients with chronic pain, like frozen shoulders, and low-back pain with my targeted stretching protocols." Jennifer said. "I get a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I make a difference in my client's daily lives."

Jennifer offers MORE than just Massage and Stretch, which sets her apart from other Massage Therapists in the area. "Oh yes! I offer Gift Certificates that don't expire for a year, custom Employee Appreciation Events; doing table Stretches, or chair massages. Devotional Courses for Couples, where they learn how to massage eachother. I blog on my website, giving existing clients self-care tips. I also Volunteer my services by giving Free monthly In Home-Care Massage for Hospice patients, and doing Free Events at local golf courses, at schools for teacher's Appreciation, and hospitals for the Emergency room staff."

Mandala Massage first opened on April 1, 2021. Jennifer, how did you come up with your Business name? "I love hiking, and being outside in Nature. One day I was meditating in the woods, and rearranged leaves to form a big flower. That turned into making some very elaborate Nature Mandalas, as I called them. This was a hobby of mine for a few years. I would spend 4-6 hours making Nature Mandalas in local nature trails, my favorite being Oxbow Eco Center. That turned into Mandala Massage. I merged all my passions into one! Nature, Art, and Massage."

Tell us a little about yourself. "I am an Army Veteran and served for 8 years, first generation born American, my family is Cuban and Puerto Rican. I am a proud mother, 3/4 of my littles got A/B honor roll this semester!" Jennifer said. "Despite Covid, my Massage business has been stable and thriving, I thank God for that blessing, my loyal client's who supported me throughout the year, and the wonderful people at Morningside Church. I also love to paint, and craft. I'd say I'm very artistic, creative, and intuitive. Which is something I try to bring into my massages. I still in awe that Mandala Massage is going to be a year old in April!"

What is your favorite thing about being a Massage Therapist? "It would have to be the focused quality time I spend with my patients. I get to help them feel better, and improve their lives." Jennifer said. "As an introvert, being in a one on one setting is the best! I can focus completely, while devoting that time to enhance their healthcare, and self-care routine. I just love helping people. Teaching them how to do it themselves, and watching them improve, is the greatest gift of all."

What kind of extras do you offer during a massage? "Well, I offer Enhancements, which are all inclusive. You can also get a 30 minute add on treatment for $50. The hypervolt (massage gun) is one of the tools I use, hot and cold therapy with Bio-freeze, Aroma Therapy, stretching, hemp Seed Oil (with no THC or CBD), and I also have mini spa packages, and targeted massage for Sciatica, Frozen Shoulder, Carpal Tunnel, and many more. " Jennifer said. "The best way to contact me is to visit my website at MandalaMassages.com there you will find all the information you need!"

In Celebration of your upcoming 1 year business Anniversary I would like to Congratulate you on your accomplishment, and preserveance. Port St lucie welcomes you, Jennifer. We cannot wait to see what you will bring to our city, and wish you many years of success. If you are looking to get the "Best Massage Ever" as many of her previous clients state; I encourage you to book a massage with Jennifer, her reviews on google maps are sure to alleviate any hesitantation, without regret.

"Thank you! I am honored to continue to serve those with chronic and acute aches and pains, all throughout our community." Jennifer said.
